Before Sovereign's inception, Mitchell spent over sixteen years perfecting the skills and knowledge needed to manufacture equestrian transportation. This gave him the platform needed to establish his own product in 1996, although they were a far cry from the aluminium-panelled, 6-star horse transportation vehicles that are coach-built today.

Whilst the company has grown in size, stature and service, Mitchell has never forgotten the key attributes that define Sovereign; attention to detail, passionate delivery, and friendly, reliable after-sales service.
